Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday arrested a security guard in a drug buy-bust in Tagbilaran City but the operation’s primary target escaped, said authorities.
NBI executive officer Atty. Arcelito Albao identified the sting operation’s subject as Michael Torillo, a resident of Barangay Tiptip, Tagbilaran City.
Torillo who is listed in the Tagbilaran City police’s drug watch list was reportedly able to flee along with two other companions.
However, one of Torillo’s suspected cohorts, a security guard identified as Kenjie Bernales of Lindaville Subdivision, was collared by NBI operatives.
In a report, the NBI indicated that Bernales yielded three packets of suspected shabu.
According to Albao, Torillo is also listed in the NBI’s drug watch list.
