Two motorcycle drivers were killed following a head-on collision in Balilihan on Sunday evening.

Authorities identified the fatalities as Ramel Agusto, 29, a resident of Barangay Babag, Dagohoy, and Fritz Mandin, 23, of Barangay Buktol, Balilihan.

Both victims reportedly sustained severe injuries to the head causing their deaths.

Based on initial police investigation, Mandin swerved to the opposite lane along Barangay Hanopol in Balilihan while travelling at high speed.

This led to the collision between Mandin and Agusto who was moving towards the opposite direction.

Both victims were rushed to a hospital for immediate medical attention.

However, Agusto succumbed to his injuries at 11p.m. on Sunday while Mandin died at 6:50 a.m. the following day.

Both victims were listed as part of the recent string of vehicular accidents involving speeding motorcyclists who were not wearing helmets during an accident. (AD)
