Two multicab dispatchers outside the City Square in Tagbilaran City were arrested by police in the wee hours of Sunday for allegedly peddling illegal drugs.
Suspects Christopher Patenio, 32, and Anthony Estoque, both residents of Barangay Dao Tagbilaran City were allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P59,000.
In a report, police said that both suspects were seen selling illegal drugs along J.S. Torralba St. in Poblacion 3 by operatives led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor.
Police then set up a buy-bust operation against Patenio.
According to police, Patenio sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer prompting police to arrest him and Estoque who was with the buy-bust subject during the operation.
One packet of shabu was found in Patenio’s possession while two were found with Estoque who was also allegedly caught with drug paraphernalia.
In its investigation, police noted that the seized drugs weighed 5.5 grams.
Meanwhile, the Tagbilaran City police intelligence section said that both suspects are listed in their drug watch list.
Both Estoque and Patenio are now detained at the Tagbilaran City police lock-up jail and will be charged for violations against RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (W. Maestrado)
