Isidro Celerian Jr. sustained 18 entry and exit gunshot wounds as he was shot and killed by a still unidentified gunman inside his home in Inabanga on Monday.

Inabanga police are facing a blank wall on the murder of a 46-year-old man who was shot to death inside his house by an unidentified gunman on Monday.

PO1 Ricky Remata, San Isidro police investigator, identified the victim as Isidro Celerian Jr., a farmer who lived in Sitio Cantaon, Barangay Baogo in said town.

According to Remata, Celerian’s live-in partner Tessy Altubar who was in a room next to the crime scene heard the victim plead for his life.

“Ayaw kug pusila boss. Wa koy sala ninyo,” Celerian reportedly said.

However, Altubar was unable to see the suspect as it was dark.

Based on police investigation, Celerian still attempted to escape from the gunman but the suspect was able to catch up and shoot him several more times leading to his instantaneous death.

Celerian sustained 18 entry and exit gunshot sounds in various parts of his body, said Remata.

Ten spent shells fired from a .45 caliber pistol and four live bullets of the same firearm were found in the crime scene, he added.

Meanwhile, authorities are continuing their investigation on the case as they are still left clueless on the motive behind the murder.

Based on police files, Celerian had no criminal record and was not known for involvement in any illegal activity such as the drug trade. (Allen Dodyora)
