Two noted drug personalities including an ex-convict were allegedly caught selling drugs during a police anti-narcotics operation in Tagbilaran City in the wee hours of Sunday.
Suspects Roger Banglos, 39, who was previously convicted of drug charges and Hermohenis “Bayot” Getgano, 40, who is listed in the police’s drug watch list were arrested in a drug buy-bust.
In a report, police indicated that operatives conducting monitoring operations led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor spotted both suspects selling illegal drugs shortly past midnight on the same day.
This prompted the policemen to set up the sting operation against Getgano and Banglos.
According to police, an undercover cop bought shabu worth P500 from Banglos while Getgano received the money and handed over the drugs.
The two men were immediately collared following the transaction leading operatives to allegedly find more shabu in the suspects’ possession.
Both Banglos and Getgano yielded seven grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P82,000, police said.
The suspects are now detained at the lock-up jail of the Tagbilaran City police while authorities are preparing to file drug charges against them. (W. Maestrado)
