A 44-year-old man lost P17,000 after he was allegedly robbed by two suspects, a male and female, in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday.
Authorities identified the victim as Lolito Cano, a resident of Barangay Mahayag, San Miguel, who was reportedly in possession of his earnings from selling pigs when the incident happened.
According to a police report, the unidentified suspects alighted from their motorcycle and suddenly went near Cano who was drinking beer near a 24-hour convenience store along CPG North Ave cor. San Jose.
The suspects then asked to join Cano, but the male alleged robber pulled out a knife from his pants and pointed it at the victim declaring a hold up.
“Ambi nang imong bag,” both robbers reportedly screamed, prompting Cano to hand over his belongings including his money to the suspects out of fear.
Both suspects then boarded their motorcycle and immediately fled the scene towards an unspecified direction.
Meanwhile, the Tagbilaran City police’s theft and robbery section has been tasked to investigate the case. (W)
