Magnitude 3.4 and 2.3 tremors shook several parts of Bohol on Monday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The Phivolcs said the 3.4-magnitude tremor occurred at 8:56 p.m. with the epicenter near Cortes town while the 2.4-magnitude quake hit near Sagbayan six minutes prior.
The quake in Cortes was tectonic in origin and it hit at a depth of 11 km beneath the ground, the agency added in its report issued at 9:04 p.m.
Meanwhile, the 2.4-magnitude earthquake shook the ground from a shallow depth of 1 km.
Several netizens posted in their Facebook pages that the tremors were also felt in the towns of Balilihan, Catigbian and Loon.

No damages and aftershocks are expected from both quakes.
