A 60-year-old man reportedly suffering from cancer was found dead hanging from a tree in what appeared to be a suicide on Tuesday.
Victim Vidal Torreon, a resident of Barangay Cabiguan, Trinidad, allegedly hanged himself from a mango tree near his house leading to his death.
According to the Trinidad police, they received a call from a concerned citizen who reported the incident at around 5 a.m. on the same day.
Responding police officers found the victim still hanging from the tree as they conducted an initial probe on the scene.

No suicide note was found in the area.
Relatives of the victim told authorities that the victim had been battling cancer for five years.

There were no indications of foul play in Torreon’s death, said police. (AD)
