An armed male suspect robbed a lending company in Carmen allegedly taking away P107,500 in cash on Friday afternoon, an employee of the office said.
Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Incorporated (RAFI) Carmen branch manager Madeo Camacho, 32, told police that the still unidentified suspect suddenly entered their office with a gun and declared a robbery.
The suspect then allegedly pointed his pistol at Madeo ordering him to clear out the cash drawer of its contents and hand these over.
Camacho, out of fear, obliged and gave all the cash to the armed suspect.
He also told police that the suspect threatened to kill his family if he reported the incident to authorities.
The robber then fled the area with cash on board a motorcycle along with two other suspects who were posted outside as lookouts, Camacho said.
According to Camacho, the armed suspect did not cover his face but was wearing a cap.
Meanwhile, police have launched a follow up probe on the incident and have started to review closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage from nearby establishments.
Police are hoping to get an image of the plate number of the suspects’ motorcycle.
Authorities alsonoted that RAFI does not have its own CCTV camera. (A. Doydora)
