An alleged drug dealer, 27, who was with his girlfriend, 16, inside a lodging house in Tagbilaran City was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the wee hours of Thursday.
Suspect Jerebie Sagarino a resident of Barangay Tiptip in Tagbilaran City, was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P75,000.
In a report, the PDEA indicated that Sagarino who was with the minor was arrested through a drug buy-bust operation at a lodging house along Penaflor Street in Barangay Taloto.
According to PDEA provincial intelligence officer Nicolas Gomez, the suspect was selling illegal drugs while checked in at the lodge based on gathered information.
This prompted agents to carry out the buy-bust operation against Sagarino.
Authorities said the suspect sold shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover agent leading to his immediate arrest.
The operatives then allegedly found in Sagarino’s possession 17 small and two large packets which contained suspected shabu.
Sagarino was taken into PDEA custody and is now detained at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City while his girlfriend was transferred to the City Social Welfare and Development Office. (WM)
