Two alumni of the University of Bohol successfully finished the Command and General Staff Course (CGSC) at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Command & General Staff College, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The CGSC is a 9-month course for military officers who are expected to occupy key command and staff positions in the operational and strategic levels of the AFP organization. The course is the highest military education given to a career officer in the AFP.
LTC Lino Nabayra Garsuta, GSC (RES) PA instructor of the University of Bohol and assistant commandant of the UB Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Unit, hurdled the 9 months training course and passed the battery of test before the AFP panel on his commandant’s paper (Thesis), Readiness of the 1st Bohol Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion.
On the same vein, LTC Leo Baldapan Caduyac, GSC (SC) PA, former engineering student of the university and PMA graduate of class 1999 also graduated from the CGSC with his commandant’s paper on Modernization of Tactical Communications System in the Philippine Army.
LTC Garsuta is a former Tactical Officer of LTC Caduyac during his ROTC days at the University of Bohol. (labboncales)
