A 35-year-old man early on Friday was shot dead while urinating outside his house in Loon by a still unidentified gunman, police said.
Loon Police Station investigator PO2 Jonas Rosales identified the victim as Gene Romana, 35, of Barangay Bagacay Katipunan in said town.
According to Rosales, the gunman shot Romana in the face as he went out of his house to urinate at around 1 a.m.
Leoncio Romana, the victim’s cousin, told police that he was awoken by the loud gunshot prompting him to go outside and check.
Leoncio then saw his cousin sprawled on the ground and drenched in his own blood.
Authorities said that Gene suffered a gunshot wound that went straight into his mouth causing his instantaneous death.
According to Rosales, police are still facing a blank wall as to the identity of the suspect and the motive behind the fatal shooting. (A. Doydora)
