A treasurer of a lending firm who was collecting payments at past 10 am on Thursday fell prey to an armed robber in Carmen, police said.
Based on Carmen police investigation, Analiza Siga, the central treasurer for CARD lending, Inc. lost P20,000 to the suspect .
Siga told police that she was collecting money inside the house of one Mely Bongo when the suspect who was wearing a helmet suddenly barged in.
The unidentified suspect then pointed a gun at her and declared a robbery.
According to Siga, she immediately handed over P20,000 to the suspect out of fear.
The suspect did not harm Siga or Bongo as he quickly fled the area after receiving the cash.
Bongo then notified the police on the incident who immediately responded to the distress call but were unable to encounter the suspect.
Meanwhile, the Carmen police has launched an investigation on the case to identify and locate the suspect. (ad)
