The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) 2018 will formally open on Saturday at the Carlos P. Garcia Sports Complex, this city.
Meanwhile, the newly refurbished sports oval named in honor of the late Boholano president will be blessed today after completion of the renovation and changing of the rubber surrounding the track oval.
More than 3,000 delegates are attending the week-long sports event coming from the provinces of Cebu, Negros Or, Siquijor and host province, Bohol.
The province last hosted the regional sports meet in 2011.
The athletics competition will be held at the CPG Sports Complex. The swimming competition will be held at the Victoriano Tirol Advanced Learning Center (VDT-ALC) of the University of Bohol while other events will be held at the various private and public schools.
Meanwhile, classes in schools housing the CVIRAA delegates will be suspended.
