A male Chinese national drowned in waters off Barangay Bacong in Anda on Sunday afternoon, police said.
According to SPO1 Alcadio Maputi, victim Guibin Hua, 30, of Jinzhou City, China was snorkeling at around 10 meters away from land at a beach resort when he was suddenly no longer visible from the shore.
Hua was last with his wife, Xinyue, 31, before he went missing.
The Huas first went kayaking but afterwards, Guibin snorkeled alone as Xinyue left the beach to return water sport equipment, said Maputi.

Xinyue and personnel of the beach resort looked for Guibin for about an hour before they found his body floating at sea.
He was still rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival. (AD)
