A woman deemed a high-value target in the police’s anti-drug campaign at the provincial level and who is also a suspected pimp was allegedly caught in possession of P192,000 worth of shabu in a drug buy-bust operation in Dauis.
Suspect Glenda Adaptar, 47, was arrested on Friday morning after allegedly selling shabu and offering a female prostitute to a poseur-buyer outside a gym in Barangay Poblacion, Dauis.
According to Sr. Insp. Romar Labasbas of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), Adaptar has been getting drug supply through negotiations made with her son who is detained at the Bohol District Jail.
Adpatar’s son who is held for drug charges may have supplied her with illegal drugs through contacts from outside the jail facility, said Labasbas.
Adaptar is now under the custody of the Bohol Provincial Police Office at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City and will be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs.
A human trafficking case however will not be filed against her as the transaction for the prostitute was not consummated.
In a report, police said that a female prostitute arrived at the area of the operation shortly after Adaptar called her but the poseur-buyer was only able to close the deal for the shabu.
Police then immediately frisked Adaptar and found in her possession 12.8 grams of suspected shabu.
Adaptar claimed that the prostitute was from Cagayan province. (W. Maestrado)
