A 3.7-magnitude earthquake shook Catigbian on Tuesday morning, affecting nearby towns including Sagbayan, Carmen and Tubigon.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of five kilometers below the ground at 10:43 a.m., said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs)
The temblor hit 3 kilometers northeast of Catigbian.
Intensity V was recorded in Sagbayan, Intensity IV in Catigbian, Intensity III in Carmen, and Intensity II in Tubigon.

According to Phivolcs, no damages and aftershocks are expected from the tremor.
The quake was tectonic in origin, Phivolcs added. (R. Tutas)
