A Boholana who has served as the provincial director of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Bohol for almost a decade has been promoted to the department’s regional office as assistant director.
Ma. Lousella Lucino started with her new job as assistant director of DILG 7 on Thursday last week replacing Elias Fernandez, Jr. who was reassigned to DILG-Calabarzon.
A formal turnover ceremony was held at the department’s regional headquarters in Cebu City with DILG 7 director Atty. Rene Burdeos in attendance.
Prior to her reassignment, Lucino was the DILG chief in Bohol starting 2009.
Meanwhile, John Joan Mende, the former director of DILG Lapu-Lapu City and also a Bohol native, was appointed as Lucino’s replacement.
He will start to take over the helm of DILG Bohol as its director starting next week.
Mardonio Roxas was tasked to temporarily lead Bohol’s DILG office as officer-in-charge. (R. Tutas)
