Second District Rep. Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado and Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell “Baba” Yap garnered the highest net satisfaction ratings among seven top government officials in the province, according to the latest survey conducted by the Center for Research and Publications of the Holy Name University.
Aumentado and Yap, both 40 years old and the youngest among those surveyed, topped the poll conducted among 400 respondents province-wide on July 28 to August 24, this year.
Both officials who are on their second terms registered +92 net satisfaction ratings in a survey which also included Gov. Edgar Chatto, Vice Gov. Dionisio Balite, First District Rep. Rene Relampagos, Third District Rep. Arthur Yap and Tagbilaran City Vice Mayor Toto Veloso.
Aumentado meanwhile made an unprecedented mark in the survey as he was the lone public official with a “zero” dissatisfied rating, maintaining his net satisfaction rating at 92 percent.
This rating was eight points higher than last year which was +84.
Two percent were dissatisfied with Geesnell’s performance, pulling down his 94 percent satisfaction rating to +92 net satisfaction rating . His rating was six points lower than last year which was +98.
The results were released on Tuesday by the Center for Research and Publications of Holy Name University.
Artur who is on his last term ranked second among those surveyed with a +80 net satisfaction rating, six points higher than last year (+74). Eighty-three percent were satisfied with three percent dissatisfied.
Chatto was third in the survey with a net satisfaction rating of +79, with 85 percent satisfied and six percent dissatisfied. This was six points lower than last year (+85).
Tied at fourth were Balite and Veloso both with net satisfaction ratings of +70.
Balite has 76 percent satisfied with 6 percent dissatisfied while Veloso has 76 percent satisfied and 6 percent dissatisfied.
Rep. Rene Relampagog got +65 net satisfaction rating with 76 percent satisfied and 7 percent dissatisfied. This was however, 11 points higher than last year (+54).
For President Rodrigo Duterte, seven percent of the Boholanos are dissatisfied with the performance of the President while 85% were satisfied.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo has 15% dissatisfied while 64% were satisfied.
In the campaign against drugs, only 5% of the Boholanos continued to believe that the drug problem is serious since after Oplan Tokhang and Double Barrel project started.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bohol has 56% of the Boholanos has “much trust” in the local police. On their performance, 72% were satisafied while 9% were dissatisfied.
Among the programs of the provincial government, tourism topped as the highest acknowledged with 67% of the Boholanos satisfied.
Other programs:
Environment programs got 59% satisfied.
Protecting life and property, 54% satisfied while livelihood opportunities, promoting investments and ensuring food supply had identical mark of 48% satisfied.
In the campaign against graft and corruption in the provincial government, Boholanos recorded the lowest satisfaction rating with only 40% of the Boholanos satisfied.
However, the provincial government is not as bad on how its critics have projected.
Only 9% of the Boholanos agreed to the statement that “Adunay miingon nga wala na gyoy paglaum and Bohol. Kung mahimo lang molangyaw ka sa laing lugar.”
