Two students in high school and college, both enrolled in private schools in Tagbilaran City, were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on Tuesday night.

Police apprehended the suspects through a sting operation set up against one Jason Aguilar, 21, a college student and a native of Loon, at his temporary residence in Barangay Poblacion 2.

The operatives also arrested Aguilar’s companion, a 17-year-old student of a private high school in Tagbilaran City, who was allegedly caught in possession of shabu.

In a report, police said that Aguilar who was with the minor sold shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop.

Both suspects were allegedly caught in possession of nine packets of shabu with an estimated street value of P17,000.

Authorities are set to file charges against the suspects for violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
