A man who was previously convicted of a robbery charge was arrested on Monday night for allegedly selling shabu to an undercover police officer in Tagbilaran City.
Police identified the apprehended alleged drug dealer as Mark Christopher Oslay, 24, of Gumamela Street in Lindaville Subdivision, Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City.
In a report, police said that intelligence officers spotted Oslay as he was selling illegal drugs along Malasarte Street in said subdivision.
Operatives then set up the drug buy bust against Oslay who allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer during the staged transaction.
Oslay allegedly ran and tried to escape but was quickly subdued by the arresting police officers.
According to police, they found shabu weighing 2.1 grams in Oslay’s possession.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P25,000.
Oslay remained under the custody of the Tagbilaran City police while authorities prepared to file charges against him for violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Previously, Oslay was found guilty of robbery after he clobbered a male teacher with a beer bottle and took his money. He was let out of prison on probation. (WM)
