A manager of a lending firm together with his female accounting officer was robbed at gunpoint by two still unidentified suspects who were allegedly able to take P100,000 from them in Pilar town on Monday.
Rufo Idulsa, Jr., manager of Card Inc. Pilar, and Maria Legaspo, had just claimed money from an M. Lhullier branch when they were accosted by two motorcycle-riding men, said Pilar police chief Sr. Insp. Andy Corpuz based on testimonies of the victims.
The motorcycle passenger then pointed a pistol of still unidentified caliber at Idulsa who was heading back to their office in Barangay Bagumbayan.
The victims, out of fear, handed over a shoulder bag containing P50,000 and a bundle of cash kept inside a jacket to the robbers, said Corpuz.
According to Corpuz, the robbers who were riding a black Suzuki Raider immediately fled after taking the money.
Corpuz said that the suspects likely trailed the victims as they claimed money from the M. Lhuillier branch.
Meanwhile, police investigators continued their probe on the case to identify and trace the suspects. (AD)
