Tropical Depression Samuel which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility Sunday morning was projected to directly hit the province of Bohol based on the weather disturbance’s latest forecast track.
According to a bulletin issued by state weather bureau PAGASA on Sunday at 11 a.m., Samuel was estimated sweep through Bohol between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Samuel was last spotted 980 kilometers east-southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
It was moving west-southwest at 15 kilometers per hour.
PAGASA said the storm was packing maximum winds of up to 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph.
Storm signals could be hoisted over provinces in the eastern section of Visayas and of Mindanao by Sunday evening or Monday morning.
The storm is expected to leave the PAR on Friday.
