A newly released convicted felon yielded about 15 grams of shabu during a drug raid carried out by Bohol police intelligence officers at his residence in Tagbilaran City on Friday afternoon.
The Bohol Provincial Police Office-Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) arrested the suspect identified as Jose Ayao, 28, at his house in Janssen Heights, Barangay Dampas at 2 p.m.
Operatives who raided Ayao’s home bearing a search warrant allegedly found the drug stash inside a drawer.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P177,000.
Police said that Ayao was convicted of robbery four years ago.
He was released from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City in May this year.
According to authorities, Ayao is now under the custody of the BPPO and is detained at Camp Francisco Dagohoy in Tagbilaran pending the filing of drug charges against him. (ad)
