Three high-ranking police officers of the Camp Francisco Dagohoy-based Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) are set to be reassigned as part of the nationwide reshuffling of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said an official.
According to the police source who spoke on condition of anonymity for lack of clearance to speak on the matter, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch chief Supt. George Vale, operations chief Supt. Cheryl Boniao and operations deputy director Supt. Lorenzo Batuan will be part of the mass reassignment of police personnel.
The three police officials have completed two years of serving under their current posts, the source said.
Tagbilaran City police chief Supt. Patricio Degay, Jr. and around seven municipal police chiefs are also reportedly in line for transfer to other posts.
However, the source said that there has been no official order issued yet for the reassignment.
The source also clarified that the reshuffling is not part of the PNP’s preparations and personnel reassignment for the upcoming polls.
Earlier, unconfirmed reports have surfaced indicating that BPPO director Senior Supt. Angeles Geñorga was also eyed for transfer ahead of the end of his supposed two-year tenure as the province’s top cop.
Geñorga said that he has not received an order for reassignment as of Tuesday but noted that he is ready to comply with any directive issued by the PNP command.
“Whatever the order from our higher command is, I will follow,” he said. (RT)
