A 20-year-old man was arrested for alleged sale of illegal drugs in Tagbilaran City on Monday night, police said.
The suspected drug dealer, Darcis Sanchez of Barangay Poblacion II in Tagbilaran City allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer during a drug buy-bust operation near his residence.
Sanchez was also allegedly caught in possession of more shabu which was estimated to be worth P37,000 based on the set value by the Dangerous Drugs Board.
The seized drugs were contained in a candy container, police said.
According to authorities, Sanchez was newly included in the Tagbilaran City Police’s drug watch list.
The operation against him which was led by Sr. Insp. Vincent Dumaguing was set in motion after he was allegedly spotted by police as he was selling shabu.
Sanchez is now under the custody of the Tagbilaran City Police Station pending the filing of charges against him.
He will be charged with violations against Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
