An 18-year-old man and two others were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Panglao as part of the Philippine National Police’s region-wide Synchronized Enhanced Managing Police Operations which resulted in the apprehension of several drug personalities across Bohol late last week.
The suspects, identified as Jason Pogoy, 19, of Sagabayan, Christ Jason Salinas, 23, of Dauis and Wilson Llanes, 23, of Sagbayan were allegedly caught in possession of 17 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P612,000.
Police said that it was Pogoy who was the first to be arrested outside a house in Barangay Tawala on Friday night after he sold shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover cop.
He was also allegedly caught in possession of a .22 caliber revolver.
Operatives then set another staged drug transaction against Salinas who was inside the same house.
Salinas allegedly sold shabu worth P10,000 to a poseur-buyer leading to his arrest. Llanes who was with Salinas during the operation was also taken into police custody.
According to authorities, the bulk of the seized drugs were found in Salinas’ possession.
All three suspects are set to be charged with violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
