A noted leader of a street gang and his suspected cohort in the drug trade were arrested by police for alleged sale of illegal drugs in Baclayon.
Police said that they apprehended Dominador Ajon, 21, of San Roque, Baclayon and Joselito Pangasian, 21, of Barangay Tagbuane, Alburquerque through a buy-bust operation at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Ajon, a suspected youth gang leader, and Pangasian were allegedly spotted selling shabu in Barangay San Roque prompting police anti-narcotics operatives to set up the sting operation.
Both sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer leading to their immediate arrest, police said.
According to Baclayon police chief Sr. Insp. Raymund Halasan, Ajon and Pangasian were noted to be thieves.
Police have also received complaints from parents indicating that their daughters have not been going home as they started to be associated with Ajon’s gang.
Both men are now detained at the Baclayon Police Station and are set to be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs. (WM)
