Another fire erupted in Talibon town at 8 a.m. on Monday leaving at least P2.8 million in property damages, less than a week after a blaze razed 12 houses in the municipality.
The fire gutted a two-story commercial building and a two-story house and partially damaged a pension house in Barangay Poblacion, said SFO4 Teodorico Auxtero of the Talibon Fire Station.
No one was injured during the fire.
According to Auxtero, the blaze started from a bakeshop owned by one Catalino Casuela and spread to the building’s second floor, a living quarters for the establishment’s personnel.
Auxtero said that the blaze also gutted the house of one Flores family and partially damaged the Holy Trinity Pension House.
The fire reached third alarm prompting firefighters from nine neighboring towns to also respond before it was declared fire out at 8:45 a.m.
Meanwhile, investigators continued their probe to determine the cause of the fire.
On February 17, a fire broke out at a heavily populated residential area in Sitio Pasil, Barangay Poblacion also in Talibon.
The blaze left P700,000 in property damages. (A. Doydora)
