A 24-year-old native of Calape, Bohol was shot dead in Talisay City, Cebu on Thursday last week.
The fatality, identified as Kerwin Oraiz, an empoloyee of E-Mall in Cebu City, was walking along South Road Properties, San Roque in Talisay when he was gunned down by a still unidentified suspect, said Patrolman Ace Perdiguez of the Talisay City Police Station.
The gunman appeared to be waiting for Araiz who was walking to work at 7 a.m., said Perdiguez based on their initial investigation.
A driver wearing a helmet picked up the assailant on board a motorcycle and sped off to an unknown direction.
According to Perdiguez, personnel of the Talisay Rescue Emergency Action Team tried to revive Araiz and rushed him to a hospital.
Araiz was however declared dead on arrival.
Investigators meanwhile faced a blank wall as to the motive and identities of the suspects behind the attack. (A. Doydora)
