A woman died on Sunday afternoon due to injuries she suffered after accidentally ramming a concrete electric post while driving a motorcycle in Dimiao on Saturday night.
The fatality, identified as Lani Enerio, a 31-year-old single mother of two minors, suddenly lost control of her motorcycle while heading towards Valencia, said Sgt. Ruel Adaptar of the Dimiao Police Station.
The accident happened along a concrete road in Dimiao proper at past 11 p.m. while Enerio, a native of Valencia and resident of Alburquerque, was driving a Honda Beat motorcycle.
Enerio was rushed to a hospital in Valencia and was later transferred to the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Tagbilaran City.
However, Enerio succumbed to her injuries at past 4 p.m. on Sunday, Adaptar said.
The victim sustained severe injuries to her head which caused her death, he added.

“Wala may garas iyang helmet pag-adto nato mao tong posible nga wa to niya suota siguro kay ulo man jud ang dakong injury niya pod,” said Adaptar. (A. Doydora)
