Gubernatorial bet Leoncio Evasco, Jr. will be meeting his mayoralty candidates at JJs Seafood Village this morning.

The political meeting comes amidst announcements that Evasco will be given the support by the presidential children, Davao Mayor Sara, Paolo and Basti who are coming to the province during political rallies set by the group of Evasco.  

The meeting of Evasco with his bets is closely being watched by political quarters after his first meeting with bets for town councilors ignited curiosity due to the dole out of P10,000 to each of the bets.  This was recorded as the biggest cash given to candidates for councilors who usually would just receive P1,000 to P5,000 only. 

Today’s meeting is also expected to distribute some “mobilization” funds to the mayoralty bets. 

Meanwhile, a radio survey showed that people believes the endorsement of the Dutertes will not matter much to ensure the victory of Evasco in the gubernatorial race.

“These endorsements could not necessarily be translated into votes, ” according to 67% of the respondents of the radio survey.

They said the coming of the presidential children is viewed more as an “entertainment”  like seeing showbiz personalities than adding votes to the gubernatorial bid of Evasco.

The survey was conducted  during the top-rated “Inyong Alagad” program of dyRD yesterday.
