Five individuals were arrested in separate police anti-drug operations in Tagbilaran City and various towns over the weekend as part of the government’s continued drive against narcotics trade.
The apprehended alleged drug dealers were identified as Goodwin Sumod, 21; Jonatahan Balane, 21; Edward Jamang, 47; Ralph Coto, 37; and Norman Baco, 33.
Based on police reports, the five men were arrested in four separate operations which yielded a total of P72,000 worth of shabu.
All five men were arrested through buy-bust operations.
According to police, Baco who was caught in possession of shabu worth P27,200 was arrested in Panglao on Sunday while Sumod was apprehended in Sikatuna town on Saturday.
Jamang and Coto who allegedly yielded P40,800 worth of shabu were arrested in the same operation in Tagbilaran City on Friday afternoon.
Police said that Balane was arrested in Cortes on Saturday.
All five men are set to be charged with possession and sale of illegal drugs. (WM)
