Former Mayor Alvin Uy showed a significant lead over re-electionist mayor Benny Uy in a random radio survey conducted in Baclayon’s one-on-one mayoralty race.
“Alvin” pooled 68% over “Benny’s” 32% at the end of the 1.5 hour radio survey conducted during the top-rated “Inyong Alagad” public affairs program over dyRD yesterday.
The 56 respondents came from 15 (out of 17) barangays in Baclayon town, namely Sta. Cruz, San Vicente, Guiwanon, La Libertad, San Isidro, Payahan, Buenaventura, Poblacion, Bali-out, Kangining, San Roque, Montana, Laya, Dasitam and Taguihon.
The radio poll dubbed as “Survey-By-Request” had Baclayon as its first survey area based on requests filed by the radio listeners.
Asked as to what priority projects they want the town mayor to address, majority of the respondents said they want to see an improvement of their waterworks system, followed by road and the campaign against drug addiction.
