The Commission on Elections (Commission on Elections) in Bohol is now “90 percent” ready for the upcoming midterm polls on May 13.
According to Comelec Bohol election supervisor Atty. Eddie Aba, they are almost done with all their preparation activities for Election Day.
Members of the Electoral Board and provincial, municipal, and city Board of Canvassers have completed training, Aba said.
The Comelec has also demonstrated the proper use of vote counting machines (VCM) during an event attended by priests, volunteers and poll watchers of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.
Last week, ballot boxes, batteries for the VCMs and non-accountable forms were delivered to the province and kept at a warehouse in Tagbilaran City.
These will be distributed before the elections to the 1,449 clustered precincts where 899,682 registered voters in Bohol are expected to troop to cast their votes. (rt)
