Outgoing Governor Edgar Chatto issued an executive order creating a transition team which will spearhead the turnover of responsibilities from the incumbent provincial administration to the next leadership under governor-elect Rep. Arthur Yap.
The transition team is comprised of Chatto, Provincial Administrator Aflonso Damalerio II, heads of the various Capitol departments and representatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the private sector.
“Duna usab tay gidapit sa office ni Governor-elect Art Yap nga magpadala pud sila og represntative para sa transition team,” said Chatto.
The transition team was formed through Executive Order 05.
The same protocol will be followed for the transition period for the Office of the Vice Governor under outgoing Vice Governor Dionisio Balite who will be replaced by vice governor-elect Rep. Rene Relampagos.
“Mao sad na ang himuon as far as the Office of the Vice Governor of Vice Governor Dioning Balite ug sa atong vice-governor-elect na si Congressman Rene Relampagos,” said Chatto.
The gubernatorial transition team first convened on Tuesday morning to discuss preparations for the turnover.
The new administration under Yap will formally take over at noon on June 30.
According to Chatto, the transition team will also impart the priority agenda under the current 12-year Development Framework Plan to the new administration.
“Para ni aron na kung unsa ang nahiuyon sa programa sa sunod administrasyon ilang mapadayon and I am very sure na daghan usab og mga programa sila nga ikadugang atol usab sa sunod na administrasyon,” he said.
Chatto who is on his third and final term as governor was elected as the next representative of the first district while Balite who is on his first term as vice governor ran for a seat in congress through the third district but lost. (rt)
