A 22-year-old man suspected of selling illegal drugs and a woman who allegedly bought shabu from him were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran on Wednesday.
The alleged drug dealer identified as Johnrey Galao of Barangay Taloto in Tagbilaran City and his buyer, Marie Fe Bacsan of Barangay Poblacion, Sikatuna, yielded shabu worth P34,000, police said.
According to authorities, Galao was spotted by intelligence officers of the Tagbilaran City Police Station as he sold shabu in the vicinity of Barangay Booy in Tagbilaran City prompting them to set up the operation.
He then allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer leading to his immediate arrest.
Bacsan who was with Galao during the police operation was also taken into police custody for alleged possession of illegal drugs.
Both suspects were jailed at the Tagbilaran City Police Station lock-up facility pending the filing of charges against them.
Galao will be charged with possession and sale of illegal drugs while Bacsan will face a possession charge. (wm)
