The construction of the P80-million district hospital in Loon is expected to be completed within the year, said the host town’s mayor.
According to Loon Mayor Elvie Relampagos, the construction of the national government-funded facility in Barangay Canhangdon has recently been expedited.
“I know for a fact na hing paspas na ang trabaho anang maong hospital…Sa akong nakit-an, kung magpadayon ng trabaho ana, mahuman siguro na within the year,” Relampagos said.
The road connecting the highway to the hospital has also been completed, he added.
Relampagos said that the hospital which will be replete with brand new equipment will provide convenience to residents of Loon and nearby towns.
“Maserbisyohan g’yud ang panginahanglan sa panglawas sa mga taga di lang Loon hasta Calape pod siguro Tubigon,” he said.
He also hopes that a dialysis center will be built within the hospital due to the high demand of such facility.
The Loon District Hospital will replace the currently operational Cong. Natalio Castillo Memorial Hospital which is being used while construction of the new facility is still ongoing. (AD)
