A 32-year-old man, who was recently released from jail in Cebu City after a drug charge against him was dropped, was again apprehended by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents in Tagbilaran City.
Operatives from the NBI in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested Edgar Arcamo, Jr. of Barangay Bool in Tagbilaran City through a buy-bust operation on Friday morning.
In a report, the NBI said that Arcamo was caught in possession of four grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P27,000.
He allegedly sold shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover agent resulting in his immediate arrest.
Arcamo was being monitored by the authorities for two weeks before the NBI and PDEA set up the sting operation against him.
He remained under the custody of the NBI pending the filing of sale and possession of illegal drug charges against him.
Arcamo was released from jail two months ago after a drug possession rap against him was dropped due to procedural technicality.
According to a Sunstar Cebu report, Arcamo was arrested in Cebu City in 2015 after he was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P800,000.
He was accused of having in his pocket 15 medium packs of suspected shabu while he was at the Pier 1 Passenger Terminal in Cebu City and was about to board a vessel bound for Tagbilaran City. (WM)
