Vice Governor Rene Lopez Relampagos recently convened the Committee of the Whole of the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol to discuss pertinent matters, resolutions and concerns that were earlier tackled during their regular session every Tuesday. Picture shows that the “SP Dream Team” was in complete attendance, showing their full commitment and dedication to their solemn vow to best serve the Boholano people.

One of the main concerns that was discussed was the recent predicament the Boholano people have undergone with our sudden and alarming electric bill rate increases. Thanks to the efforts of Gov. Art C. Yap and Congressman Edgar M. Chatto, such issue was already addressed and declared “excessive and inequitable” during their recent two-day joint fact finding hearing held in the Energy Regulatory Commission offices in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

In light of this, the August Body of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan acting as a Committee of the Whole, has scheduled a Committee of the Whole Pre-Session conference this Tuesday, July 23, 2019, inviting key stakeholders that will be able to explain and elaborate in detail, as to how the computation was done that caused such charges to be considered “excessive and inequitable”, thus, necessitating a recomputation and refund of rates. The simplified explanation of these invited key stakeholders regarding the matter, will shed light and understanding to us all, as well as for the August Body of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’slegislation purposes pertaining to the concern at hand.
