The Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 has ordered the reshuffling of personnel in the region including the chief of the agency’s offices in Tagbilaran City and Garcia Hernandez (Jagna District Office).
LTO 7 director Victor Caindec told dyRD Balita that Jubilee Dionsion of the LTO Tagbilaran District Office will be replaced by Atty. Vicente Gador, who is currently part of the LTO 7’s legal section, while Cecile Paton, who is from the Mandaue City Licensing Center, will replace Flordeliza Monceda as chief of the Jagna District Office.
Meanwhile, Dionsion has been reassigned to take over as the chief of the Carcar City District Office and Monceda will oversee operations at the Tagbilaran City Licensing Extension Office.
Caindec said that the implementation of the reshuffling was his initiative and this was approved by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante on Friday last week.
It was the seventh major reshuffling of personnel ordered during the 18-month term of Caindec.
“Normal ra na. Nahitabo lang karon na medyo daghan-daghan ang akong gibalasa,” he said.
Caindec however admitted that finding the right leadership for the LTO Tagbilaran District Office has given him “headaches,” but did not elaborate on the reason.
“Ingon ana na kalabad sa o ng opisinaha [Tagbilaran] nga hepe dinha halos kada duha, tulo ka buwan, ilisan,” he added.
The LTO district office in Tagbilaran has been known to constantly draw flak for its purported slow service and congestion.
Although Caindec noted that the reshuffling was part of normal procedure, he said that there are three reasons for implementing multiple reassignments.
“Kasagaran ana performance, number two mga reklamo kung naa man gani. Ika tulo, og naay problema unya kinahilanglan og mas kamao or ang kamao hilanglan sa usa ka lugar, necessity ba,” he added. (R. Tutas)
