A 2.3-magnitude quake struck near Antequra town late on Saturday, the the state seismic bureau said.
In a 11:45 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that the temblor hit nine kilometers northeast of Antequera at 11:39 p.m.
Phivolcs said that the earthquake was of tectonic origin and hit at a depth of 11 kilometers below the ground.
The earthquake had no significant intensities.

No aftershocks and damages are expected from the quake, Phivolcs added.
Prior to the weak earthquake, at least five mild tremors were recorded in the province for the month of August.
