A graduate of the Bohol Island State University (BISU) Main Campus in Tagbilaran City topped the civil engineering licensure exam for applicants located in the Middle East, the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) said.
Ariel Agta Bantugan garnered the highest mark with a score of 86.20 percent, besting 313 other examinees of the August 2019 Special Professional Licensure Exams (SPLE) for civil engineers.
According to the PRC data released Thursday, 61 out of 313 applicants passed the SPLE.
The civil engineering board exams in the Middle East were administered by the Board of Civil Engineering including its chairman Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo and members Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero.
The tests were given from August 12 to 14 at various testing centers in Abu-Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al Ahmadi, Kuwait; Al-Khobar, KSA; Doha, Qatar; Jeddah, KSA; Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain and Riyadh, KSA.
Last week, the PRC released the results of the Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination which indicated that BISU – Main Campus ranked as the fifth best performing school marking a near-perfect passing rate of 94.52 percent.
A total of 69 of the 73 examinees from BISU passed the exams.
