Elena Kudemus Uy, wife of Baclayon Mayor Benecio “Benny” Uy passed away on Tuesday last week following a nine-month medical treatment in Manila.
The 57-year old Baclayon first lady was laid to final rest at the Baclayon Catholic Cemetery after a requiem mass at the centuries-old Baclayon Church at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
She was actively visible supporting her husband’s community activities in Baclayon’s barangays while she also managed the family-owned Bohol Electronics.
She arrived home from her Manila medical treatment to celebrate her 57th birthday last August 13.
She is survived by husband, Benny, children Maria Ellaine Grace, Raymond Ben – Ann Mercy, Benjie, Michael Ben; grandson Benedict Elijah, her mother Obdulia Kudemus, and brothers and sisters Lucia, Julita, Maricar, Beltran, Gualberta, Julius, Gloria, Asuncion and Cesar.
