The Tubigon Police Station and the newly formed Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Bohol Provincial Police Office seized over P105,000 worth of shabu and arrested four drug-linked individuals in successive raids.
The composite police team which was backed up by a SWAT (special weapons and tactics) unit confiscated the shabu in six successive raids carried out starting 4 a.m. on Thursday.
Police identified the arrested suspects as former barangay councilor Niel Cabatos and Ryan Apaap who were collared in Barangay Putohan and Junfil Lamanilao and Erickson Inson who were arrested in Ilihan Sur.
However, the police were not able to catch four other subjects of search warrants as they were not in their homes, but operatives allegedly found shabu in all of their residences.
The suspects who remained at large were identified as brothers Domingo and Romeo Baolor, Cesario Terce and Philip Yawan.
Police believed that Terce was able to flee after he became aware of the operation against him.
Meanwhile, the four arrested men were detained at the Tubigon Police Station lock-up jail and are set to be charged with possession of illegal drugs. (ad)
