Brigadier Gen. Debold Sinas, director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7, was named as the new head of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, on Thursday said Sinas is one of the four senior police officials included in the latest round of reorganization.
Sinas’ reappointment is reportedly set to take effect on October 12.
“I am happy, I also [have] mixed feelings because diri sa Regiona VII, I’ve been accustomed,” Sinas said in an interview with Cebu media.
Sinas will replace Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar who has been promoted as PNP chief of the directorial staff.
Sinas took over the helm of the PRO-7 in June last year after he was transferred from Camp Crame where he was crime lab chief.
No name has so far surfaced as the possible successor of Sinas following his 16-month term.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Francisco Archie Gamboa was named new Deputy Chief PNP for administration while Lt. Gen. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan will be the new Deputy Chief PNP for operations. (with a report from PNA)
