A 29-year-old man who came from a beach party died after his motorcycle crashed along a national road in Dauis town in the wee hours of Monday.
The fatality, identified as Junel Mejorada, a “promodiser” for a mall in Tagbilaran City, was rushed to the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival, said Senior Master Sgt. Progreso Macua of the Dauis Police Station.
Authorities believed that Mejorada may have dozed off while driving causing him to slam straight into a concrete electric post.
Macua said that the victim was partying at a beach in Barangay Bingag before he left to buy water at a store.
He however figured in an accident on his way to the variety store in Barangay Tabalong.
According to Macua, Mejorada was not wearing a helmet when he crashed. (AD)
