Korean star Sandara “Dara” Park, who was first catapulted to stardom in the Philippines before gaining international fame via K-pop group 2NE1, returned to the country last week as she visited Bohol as part of a pre-birthday celebration.
Park who turned 35 on Tuesday posted photos of her Bohol visit on Instagram featuring various tourist sites highlighted by the world-renowned Chocolate Hills and the Alona Beach in the resort island of Panglao.
The first batch of photos was of the Chocolate hills which she posted on Sunday with the caption, “Chocolate Hills!!! 🍫🍫🍫 achieved ✔️”
She also visited the Virgin Island, a one-hectare sand bar off the southern tip of Panglao.
The name “virgin” was derived from the island’s pristineness and as it was previously devoid of tourists.
Park was already seen in Manila on Tuesday as she reunited with her “Star Circle Quest” co-finalists Raphael Martinez and Joross Gamboa, but a newer Instgram photo posted by the Korean star on Thursday showed that she had already missed Bohol.
“그립다~ 따듯한 야자수가 있는곳이여~ 🌴🌴🌴 좋은아침이요!!! ❄️❄️❄️😭 야자수의 기운을 받고~ 모두들 굿럭!!! 😀👍👊🏻🔥🔥🔥,” she said in the caption of a photo featuring a resort in the province.
(I miss you ~ Where there are warm palm trees ~ 🌴🌴🌴 Good morning !!! ❄️❄️❄️😭 Receiving the energy of palm trees ~ Everyone good luck !!! 😀👍👊🏻🔥🔥🔥)
Many of the photos posted by the star tagged one resort in the province indicating that the visit may have been promotional.
