A 42-year-old man included in the police’s drug watch list was arrested after allegedly caught in the act of selling shabu to an undercover cop in Tagbilaran City.
The alleged drug dealer, Avito Botero, 42, who has been tagged as a street-level pusher, was collared through a buy-bust operation near his residence in Barangay Booy on Saturday afternoon.
Operatives of the Tagbilaran City Police Station intelligence section subjected Botero to the sting operation after he was allegedly spotted peddling shabu in the area.
According to Lt. Rodante Sanchez who led the arresting team, they found six grams of shabu from Botero.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P40,800 based on the value set by the dangerous drugs board.
Botero is now under the custody of the Tagbilaran City Police Station pending the filing of charges against him for violating Section 5 (sale) and Section 11 (possession) of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
