Three suspected drug dealers were arrested for allegedly peddling methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in three separate anti-drug operations in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday.
Police said that the operations yielded a total of P550,000 worth of shabu.
According to authorities, the drugs were seized from (P238,000) Carlo Tanada, 43, of Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran; (P204,000) Allan Rasonabe, 26, of Barangay Cabawan, Maribojoc and (P108,000) Ariel Aray, 24, of Barangay Taloto, Tagbilaran through buy-bust operations.
The operation against Aray, which was led by the Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), was set in motion after a series of anti-drug operations which led police to him as the shabu source of two drug personalities.
Police said that Aray was pinpointed by Rasonabe as his drug source while a bank security guard, German Burlat, who was collared also for a drug charge in Dauis town on Monday told authorities that Rasonabe supplied him with shabu.
Meanwhile, the Tagbilaran City Police Station under its chief, Lt. Col. Oscar Boyles apprehended Tanada near his residence in Barangay Cogon also through a sting operation.
Tanada and Rasonabe were tagged as high-value drug targets based on the amount of shabu seized from them.
All three suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of illegal drug charges against them. (wm)
